2017 Playoffs - Game 1

Hello from Jacksonville, the magic land where football games end very late at night!

I modified my python scripts so they handle the playoffs. Your team is composed of players from the last two weeks. Players from last week will start with "(1)" and players from this week will start with "(2)".

After this week we have our two finalists! The Blitz of Apathy Super Bowl begins now! Good luck!

League All-Star Players

(2) Todd Gurley II, LAR RB (RISH): 45.0 pts (+27.1, over projected)
(2) Kareem Hunt, KC RB (MoSW): 39.6 pts (+25.6, over projected)
(2) Greg Olsen, Car TE (ZEKE): 26.6 pts (+18.2, over projected)
(1) Le'Veon Bell, Pit RB (BAD): 39.5 pts (+18.1, over projected)
(1) DeAndre Hopkins, Hou WR (SUCH): 35.9 pts (+18.1, over projected)

The top 3 scorers were from the second week of this game. I guess the players needed a warm-up game.

League Bust Players

(2) Antonio Brown, Pit WR (ZEKE): 4.4 pts (-19.1, under projected)
(2) Doug Baldwin, Sea WR (Red): 1.6 pts (-14.2, under projected)
(1) Jimmy Graham, Sea TE (GOOD): 0.0 pts (-11.9, under projected)
(2) Jimmy Graham, Sea TE (GOOD): 0.9 pts (-11.8, under projected)
(1) Ravens D/ST, D/ST (GOOD): -6.0 pts (-11.5, under projected)

Commissioner Goodell graced the bust player category 3 times the last two weeks. But Antonio Brown's injury early in the game against the Patriots takes the top spot. Luckily, Brown is projected to be back for the NFL postseason. Unluckily, he probably won't be back for the fantasy football super bowl.

Best of the Bench

(2) Sterling Shepard, NYG Bench (GOOD): 30.9 pts (+19.3, over projected)
(1) Jamaal Williams, GB Bench (Red): 30.8 pts (+19.9, over projected)
(2) Eli Manning, NYG Bench (SUCH): 27.4 pts (+15.5, over projected)
(1) Alex Collins, Bal Bench (FENE): 24.6 pts (+14.5, over projected)
(1) Demaryius Thomas, Den Bench (EGG): 23.3 pts (+10.4, over projected)

The bench had some super stars. But I'll take this moment to call out that Team Bad at Football is not here this game! Maybe this is a sign of things to come...

Green Bay Mermen vs Taco Tuesdays

FINAL SCORE: 310.0 - 260.8

WINNER: Green Bay Mermen

Star Players:
(2) Todd Gurley II, LAR RB (RISH): 45.0 pts from 180 yds; 4 TD; 21 RUNS
(2) Mark Ingram, NO RB (TACO): 32.1 pts from 151 yds; 2 TD; 12 RUNS
(1) Davante Adams, GB FLEX (TACO): 30.4 pts from 84 yds; 2 TD; 10/14 REC
(1) Todd Gurley II, LAR RB (RISH): 28.5 pts from 135 yds; 2 TD; 13 RUNS
(2) Rob Gronkowski, NE TE (TACO): 27.8 pts from 168 yds; 0 TD; 9/12 REC

Underachievers:
(1) Stephen Hauschka, Buf K (RISH): 1.0 pts (-7.3 projected) from 0/0 field goals; 1/1 XP
(1) Patriots D/ST, D/ST (TACO): 1.0 pts (-7.3 projected) from 27 PA; 2 SCK;
(2) Samaje Perine, Wsh RB (TACO): 8.6 pts (-6.4 projected) from 66 yds; 0 TD; 14 RUNS
(1) Jamison Crowder, Wsh WR (TACO): 6.4 pts (-5.8 projected) from 34 yds; 0 TD; 3/6 REC
(1) Kirk Cousins, Wsh QB (RISH): 8.8 pts (-5.7 projected) from 151 yds passing; 1 TD; 1 INT

The Green Bay Mermen continue in their top seed after a victory over Taco Tuesday. The most impressive stat from this game is how even the underachievers didn't play too badly. None of the players performed worse than 7 points under projected. That's the sort of team that makes it to the Super Bowl!

Coach Anna is in the Super Bowl!

Team Taco Tuesday would have won in most matches this week, but they fall to the consolation ladder after facing the Mermen. Coach Shane and coach Brandon will duke it out for the bronze next week.

This week tacos did not prevail

Zeke-a Virus vs Sports and Such

FINAL SCORE: 308.1 - 244.8

WINNER: Zeke-a Virus

Star Players:
(1) DeAndre Hopkins, Hou WR (SUCH): 35.9 pts from 149 yds; 2 TD; 11/16 REC
(1) Antonio Brown, Pit WR (ZEKE): 32.3 pts from 213 yds; 0 TD; 11/17 REC
(2) Devonta Freeman, Atl RB (SUCH): 30.4 pts from 194 yds; 1 TD; 22 RUNS
(1) Carson Wentz, Phi QB (ZEKE): 27.2 pts from 291 yds passing; 4 TD; 1 INT
(2) Greg Olsen, Car TE (ZEKE): 26.6 pts from 116 yds; 1 TD; 9/12 REC

Underachievers:
(2) Antonio Brown, Pit WR (ZEKE): 4.4 pts (-19.1 projected) from 24 yds; 0 TD; 2/3 REC
(1) Brandin Cooks, NE FLEX (ZEKE): 4.8 pts (-9.4 projected) from 38 yds; 0 TD; 1/7 REC
(1) Tom Brady, NE QB (SUCH): 9.3 pts (-9.0 projected) from 233 yds passing; 1 TD; 2 INT
(1) Emmanuel Sanders, Den WR (SUCH): 2.6 pts (-8.8 projected) from 16 yds; 0 TD; 1/5 REC
(1) T.Y. Hilton, Ind FLEX (SUCH): 4.0 pts (-8.0 projected) from 20 yds; 0 TD; 2/4 REC

Although coach Nick loses Antonio Brown, he regains Zeke Elliott from his 6 game suspension. Team Zeke-a Virus just barely scored lower than the Mermen this week; the Super Bowl will be so exciting!

Coach Nick is in the Super Bowl!

Team Sports and Such had a great run at the Super Bowl this season and his players did well again this week. However, he couldn't quite keep up with the consistent high scorers that Zeke-a Virus has on their team. Coach Brandon will play for the bronze in the consolation ladder next week.

Devonta Freeman couldn't manage to get 90 points in the end

Redmond SkiFrees vs Commissioner Goodell

FINAL SCORE: 214.5 - 190.0

WINNER: Redmond SkiFrees

Star Players:
(2) Cam Newton, Car QB (Red): 31.5 pts from 242 yds passing; 4 TD; 0 INT
(2) Melvin Gordon, LAC RB (Red): 28.9 pts from 169 yds; 1 TD; 19 RUNS
(1) Jordan Howard, Chi RB (GOOD): 28.5 pts from 155 yds; 2 TD; 23 RUNS
(1) Leonard Fournette, Jax RB (GOOD): 21.9 pts from 119 yds; 1 TD; 24 RUNS
(2) Ravens D/ST, D/ST (GOOD): 21.0 pts from 10 PA; 1 TD; 2 INT; 2 FR; 2 SCK;

Underachievers:
(2) Doug Baldwin, Sea WR (Red): 1.6 pts (-14.2 projected) from 6 yds; 0 TD; 1/4 REC
(1) Jimmy Graham, Sea TE (GOOD): 0.0 pts (-11.9 projected) from 0 yds; 0 TD; 0/2 REC
(2) Jimmy Graham, Sea TE (GOOD): 0.9 pts (-11.8 projected) from -1 yds; 0 TD; 1/3 REC
(2) Jamaal Williams, GB RB (Red): 3.0 pts (-11.5 projected) from 30 yds; 0 TD; 10 RUNS
(1) Ravens D/ST, D/ST (GOOD): -6.0 pts (-11.5 projected) from 39 PA; 3 SCK;

The Redmond SkiFrees wins the right to contend for the top of the consolation ladder next week thanks to solid performances and Jimmy Graham's 0.9 pts between the two weeks. It was a Christmas gift straight from Jimmy to coach Brandon.

The Bad At Footballs vs Seattle Handegg Squad

FINAL SCORE: 213.6 - 170.2

WINNER: The Bad At Footballs

Star Players:
(1) Le'Veon Bell, Pit RB (BAD): 39.5 pts from 125 yds; 3 TD; 13 RUNS
(2) Le'Veon Bell, Pit RB (BAD): 27.5 pts from 165 yds; 1 TD; 24 RUNS
(1) Theo Riddick, Det RB (BAD): 27.3 pts from 93 yds; 2 TD; 10 RUNS
(1) Adam Thielen, Min WR (EGG): 22.5 pts from 105 yds; 1 TD; 6/13 REC
(1) Golden Tate, Det WR (EGG): 22.5 pts from 85 yds; 1 TD; 8/9 REC

Underachievers:
(1) Steelers D/ST, D/ST (EGG): -3.0 pts (-10.6 projected) from 38 PA; 1 INT; 1 SCK;
(2) Adam Thielen, Min WR (EGG): 6.0 pts (-10.0 projected) from 30 yds; 0 TD; 3/5 REC
(2) Russell Wilson, Sea QB (EGG): 11.6 pts (-8.7 projected) from 142 yds passing; 1 TD; 0 INT
(2) DeSean Jackson, TB FLEX (BAD): 2.8 pts (-8.4 projected) from 18 yds; 0 TD; 1/1 REC
(2) Golden Tate, Det WR (EGG): 6.3 pts (-7.4 projected) from 33 yds; 0 TD; 3/5 REC

Psst. Hey. Guess what.

WINNER: The Bad At Footballs!

Team FENELON vs Ministry of Silly Walks

FINAL SCORE: 213.5 - 189.2

WINNER: Team FENELON

Star Players:
(2) Kareem Hunt, KC RB (MoSW): 39.6 pts from 206 yds; 2 TD; 24 RUNS
(2) Tyrod Taylor, Buf QB (FENE): 23.2 pts from 224 yds passing; 2 TD; 0 INT
(1) Kareem Hunt, KC RB (MoSW): 22.8 pts from 138 yds; 1 TD; 25 RUNS
(1) Philip Rivers, LAC QB (MoSW): 20.8 pts from 319 yds passing; 2 TD; 0 INT
(2) Tyreek Hill, KC FLEX (FENE): 19.8 pts from 88 yds; 1 TD; 5/6 REC

Underachievers:
(2) A.J. Green, Cin WR (MoSW): 5.0 pts (-11.0 projected) from 30 yds; 0 TD; 2/4 REC
(1) Mike Evans, TB WR (FENE): 4.5 pts (-10.2 projected) from 25 yds; 0 TD; 2/5 REC
(2) Carlos Hyde, SF RB (FENE): 5.9 pts (-9.4 projected) from 39 yds; 0 TD; 16 RUNS
(2) Philip Rivers, LAC QB (MoSW): 7.1 pts (-9.2 projected) from 227 yds passing; 1 TD; 3 INT
(1) Ryan Succop, Ten K (FENE): 0.0 pts (-8.8 projected) from 0/1 field goals; 1/1 XP

Kareem Hunt scored a quarter of the points in this game, but Team FENELON managed to pull out the victory.

2017 - Week 13

That's all she wrote! The regular season is over.

Now it's time for the most important 4 weeks of the season... the playoffs! The top 4 teams will play for the title, while everyone else jockeys for final rankings. Everything up until now was just a warmup for these games!

League All-Star Players

Tyreek Hill, KC FLEX (FENE): 36.5 pts (+23.3, over projected)
Alex Smith, KC QB (GOOD): 37.6 pts (+20.7, over projected)
Nelson Agholor, Phi WR (MoSW): 27.1 pts (+18.6, over projected)

One third of Tyreek Hill's receptions were touchdowns. That's a good way to be.

League Bust Players

Tyrod Taylor, Buf QB (FENE): 3.8 pts (-14.1, under projected)
Brandin Cooks, NE WR (ZEKE): 4.2 pts (-12.0, under projected)
Jordan Howard, Chi RB (GOOD): 4.3 pts (-11.4, under projected)

Tyrod Taylor had no touchdowns and an interception. He should learn from Tyreek Hill and try the touchdown thing.

Best of the Bench

Alvin Kamara, NO Bench (BAD): 29.6 pts (+12.6, over projected)
Dolphins D/ST, Bench (RISH): 27.0 pts (+21.1, over projected)
Alex Collins, Bal Bench (FENE): 23.8 pts (+11.8, over projected)

Alvin Kamara is best of the bench 3 weeks in a row! Too bad he's stuck on the Bad at Football's bench.

Redmond SkiFrees vs Team FENELON

PROJECTED SCORE: 124.0 - 115.7

FINAL SCORE: 150.3 - 110.7

WINNER: Redmond SkiFrees

Star Players:
Tyreek Hill, KC FLEX (FENE): 36.5 pts from 185 yds; 2 TD; 6/9 REC
Keenan Allen, LAC WR (FENE): 26.5 pts from 105 yds; 1 TD; 10/14 REC
Rams D/ST, D/ST (Red): 21.0 pts from 16 PA; 1 TD; 2 INT; 6 SCK; 2 BLK;

Underachievers:
Tyrod Taylor, Buf QB (FENE): 3.8 pts (-14.1 projected) from 65 yds passing; 0 TD; 1 INT
Mike Evans, TB WR (FENE): 5.3 pts (-9.2 projected) from 33 yds; 0 TD; 2/6 REC
Jack Doyle, Ind TE (FENE): 4.6 pts (-7.0 projected) from 16 yds; 0 TD; 3/5 REC

Coach Brandon finished off the regular season with the week high score! Although he won't be playing in the winner's bracket in the playoffs next week, he looks like a force to be reckoned with in the consolation ladder. But don't let the excitement of the postseason distract you from the fact that Greg Zuerlein has scored 17 points 4 out of the last 6 weeks.

Greg Zuerlein is a kicking gift from the Fantasy Football gods

Coach Patrick on the other hand finished the season of on a 6 game losing streak. On the latter half of the season, creatively named Team FENELON couldn't find consistent QBs or skill positions. This is evident from Patrick having a star player, underachiever and best of the bench all in one week.

Coach Patrick, watching his team go all over the place

Commissioner Goodell vs Seattle Handegg Squad

PROJECTED SCORE: 121.3 - 108.1

FINAL SCORE: 134.6 - 85.9

WINNER: Commissioner Goodell

Star Players:
Alex Smith, KC QB (GOOD): 37.6 pts from 366 yds passing; 4 TD; 0 INT
Larry Fitzgerald, Ari WR (GOOD): 25.8 pts from 98 yds; 1 TD; 10/10 REC
Russell Wilson, Sea QB (EGG): 24.2 pts from 227 yds passing; 3 TD; 0 INT

Underachievers:
Jordan Howard, Chi RB (GOOD): 4.3 pts (-11.4 projected) from 33 yds; 0 TD; 13 RUNS
Julio Jones, Atl WR (GOOD): 4.4 pts (-10.7 projected) from 24 yds; 0 TD; 2/6 REC
Lions D/ST, D/ST (EGG): -4.0 pts (-10.4 projected) from 38 PA;

Commissioner Goodell completed his regular season with a solid victory thanks mostly to Alex Smith and the consistent Fitzgerald. The Commissioner's strategy recently has been to have a super star player that carries the entire team each week. That probably won't stand up in the postseason, but it's cool while it lasts.

Commissioner Goodell's star players

The Seattle Handegg squad broke their 4 game winning streak right at the end. Going into the postseason coach Andre will need a defense that doesn't lose him points and just one or two impact plays from his WRs and RBs who failed to get a TD again this week.

Waiting for those big plays to happen

Ministry of Silly Walks vs Sports and Such

PROJECTED SCORE: 99.9 - 121.0

FINAL SCORE: 121.7 - 94.1

WINNER: Ministry of Silly Walks

Star Players:
Nelson Agholor, Phi WR (MoSW): 27.1 pts from 141 yds; 1 TD; 7/12 REC
A.J. Green, Cin WR (MoSW): 26.7 pts from 77 yds; 2 TD; 7/16 REC
Marshawn Lynch, Oak RB (SUCH): 20.1 pts from 121 yds; 1 TD; 17 RUNS

Underachievers:
Tom Brady, NE QB (SUCH): 8.3 pts (-11.2 projected) from 258 yds passing; 0 TD; 1 INT
Zach Ertz, Phi TE (SUCH): 4.4 pts (-10.0 projected) from 24 yds; 0 TD; 2/4 REC
Emmanuel Sanders, Den WR (SUCH): 3.1 pts (-9.4 projected) from 11 yds; 0 TD; 2/7 REC

The Ministry of Silly Walks ends the regular season with another win. Two of her lowest scoring players were Kareem Hunt and Jordy Nelson... which were her two biggest stars ten weeks ago. Luckily for coach Kristin, the rest of her squad has managed to pick up the slack.

The rest of the bench has Kristin's back

Team Sports and Such had a slide this week as his players underperformed by 30 points! Coach Brandon swept the underachievers distinction in this matchup which doesn't often lead to a victory. Hopefully it was an unlucky week and his players will be back up to their predictions next week.

Coach Brandon watching his players underachieve this week

Taco Tuesdays vs The Bad At Footballs

PROJECTED SCORE: 124.9 - 114.3

FINAL SCORE: 121.3 - 100.9

WINNER: Taco Tuesdays

Star Players:
Le'Veon Bell, Pit RB (BAD): 29.2 pts from 182 yds; 1 TD; 18 RUNS
Mark Ingram, NO RB (TACO): 24.2 pts from 122 yds; 1 TD; 14 RUNS
Rob Gronkowski, NE TE (TACO): 23.7 pts from 147 yds; 0 TD; 9/11 REC

Underachievers:
Jared Cook, Oak TE (BAD): 1.9 pts (-9.4 projected) from 9 yds; 0 TD; 1/5 REC
DeSean Jackson, TB FLEX (BAD): 4.4 pts (-7.2 projected) from 24 yds; 0 TD; 2/3 REC
Davante Adams, GB FLEX (TACO): 8.2 pts (-6.4 projected) from 42 yds; 0 TD; 4/6 REC

Even though coach Shane didn't get the highest score of the week, he still managed to keep his win streak alive. Team Taco Tuesday is riding a hot streak into the postseason that bodes well for his chances at the title this year. Although he will have to start his first week without Gronkowski after his one week suspension.

Taco Tuesday finished the regular season with a magical 4 game winning streak

Coach Derek finished his perfect season.

Green Bay Mermen vs Zeke-a Virus

PROJECTED SCORE: 126.3 - 100.0

FINAL SCORE: 116.9 - 114.7

WINNER: Green Bay Mermen

Star Players:
Travis Kelce, KC TE (RISH): 25.4 pts from 94 yds; 2 TD; 4/8 REC
Antonio Brown, Pit FLEX (ZEKE): 24.1 pts from 101 yds; 1 TD; 8/15 REC
Kenyan Drake, Mia RB (ZEKE): 23.1 pts from 141 yds; 1 TD; 23 RUNS

Underachievers:
Brandin Cooks, NE WR (ZEKE): 4.2 pts (-12.0 projected) from 22 yds; 0 TD; 2/3 REC
Kai Forbath, Min K (ZEKE): 2.0 pts (-7.5 projected) from 0/0 field goals; 2/2 XP
Austin Seferian-Jenkins, NYJ TE (ZEKE): 2.7 pts (-6.7 projected) from 7 yds; 0 TD; 2/3 REC

Coach Anna came out on top in a close battle for the 1st place seed in the league. The mermen have been consistent all season long and they ought to keep that up to finish up the last stretch of the season.

Coach Anna is getting used to winning

Coach Nick was just barely let down by Antonio Brown. If he could have managed just one more catch then he could have contended for the 1st seed. As he is though, his team is still looking great going into the postseason. Although, half of his bench scored 0 points this week which may be a problem if any more of his players are suspended.

Zeke-a Virus can't really afford any more suspensions

Wait for a special update later this week for playoff matchups!

2017 - Week 12

The second to last week of fantasy football regular season is over! You know what that means; Fantasy football playoffs are just two weeks away!

There were some close games this week and at this point the playoffs are decided... although the final seeding is still to be won!

League All-Star Players

Julio Jones, Atl WR (GOOD): 50.8 pts (+34.0, over projected)
Antonio Brown, Pit WR (ZEKE): 40.9 pts (+21.3, over projected)
Keenan Allen, LAC WR (FENE): 34.2 pts (+19.6, over projected)

Julio Jones was a football god this week. Be glad you weren't coach Brandon this week.

League Bust Players

Kareem Hunt, KC RB (MoSW): 3.6 pts (-14.7, under projected)
Mark Ingram, NO RB (TACO): 5.6 pts (-13.1, under projected)
Dak Prescott, Dal QB (FENE): 3.2 pts (-13.0, under projected)

Since the first 3 weeks of the season Kareem Hunt has not performed well at all.

Best of the Bench

Alvin Kamara, NO Bench (BAD): 36.8 pts (+20.9, over projected)
Robby Anderson, NYJ Bench (FENE): 32.6 pts (+22.4, over projected)
Ben Roethlisberger, Pit Bench (Red): 30.5 pts (+14.6, over projected)

Unfortunately for Alvin Kamara, he's probably stuck on the bench despite his near 40 point performance.

Taco Tuesdays vs Ministry of Silly Walks

PROJECTED SCORE: 121.8 - 102.8

FINAL SCORE: 158.3 - 105.6

WINNER: Taco Tuesdays

Star Players:
Philip Rivers, LAC QB (MoSW): 28.9 pts from 434 yds passing; 3 TD; 0 INT
Jamison Crowder, Wsh WR (TACO): 27.1 pts from 141 yds; 1 TD; 7/10 REC
Rob Gronkowski, NE TE (TACO): 25.2 pts from 82 yds; 2 TD; 5/8 REC

Underachievers:
Kareem Hunt, KC RB (MoSW): 3.6 pts (-14.7 projected) from 26 yds; 0 TD; 11 RUNS
Mark Ingram, NO RB (TACO): 5.6 pts (-13.1 projected) from 36 yds; 0 TD; 11 RUNS
Jordy Nelson, GB FLEX (MoSW): 4.1 pts (-5.4 projected) from 11 yds; 0 TD; 3/5 REC

For the third time in a row coach Shane has the highest score in the league! That's an incredible feat that is leading to one thing- the fantasy football super bowl!

Taco Tuesday has a super streak going on!

Coach Kristin's team is doing better, but it's hard to beat Taco Tuesday while they're on a roll like this. Also, Kareem Hunt has become the biggest let down of the season. He started the season off with 6 TDs in 3 games, but he hasn't had a single TD since then. The Ministry of Silly Walks may need to consider a new RB #1.

"Fun" Fact: Blake Bortles has more rushing touchdowns than Kareem Hunt over the last 9 weeks

Zeke-a Virus vs The Bad At Footballs

PROJECTED SCORE: 122.8 - 106.4

FINAL SCORE: 130.1 - 70.1

WINNER: Zeke-a Virus

Star Players:
Antonio Brown, Pit WR (ZEKE): 40.9 pts from 169 yds; 2 TD; 10/12 REC
Le'Veon Bell, Pit RB (BAD): 28.3 pts from 183 yds; 0 TD; 20 RUNS
Carson Wentz, Phi QB (ZEKE): 24.0 pts from 227 yds passing; 3 TD; 0 INT

Underachievers:
Michael Crabtree, Oak FLEX (ZEKE): 0.0 pts (-11.7 projected) from 0 yds; 0 TD; 0/0 REC
Jeremy Maclin, Bal WR (BAD): 1.6 pts (-9.6 projected) from 6 yds; 0 TD; 1/5 REC
Buccaneers D/ST, D/ST (BAD): -5.0 pts (-9.3 projected) from 34 PA; 1 FR;

Coach Nick is bursting his way into the playoffs after another victory this week. Although, he may need to consider naming his squad to Team "Suspended" as he now has 3 suspended players sitting on his bench.

Team Zeke-a Virus loves a good fight

The Bad at Footballs are looking to keep their perfect streak in tact.

Coach Derek's opinion of Fantasy Football

Commissioner Goodell vs Redmond SkiFrees

PROJECTED SCORE: 119.1 - 124.5

FINAL SCORE: 128.8 - 109.3

WINNER: Commissioner Goodell

Star Players:
Julio Jones, Atl WR (GOOD): 50.8 pts from 268 yds; 2 TD; 12/15 REC
Devin Funchess, Car FLEX (GOOD): 17.8 pts from 108 yds; 0 TD; 7/12 REC
Cam Newton, Car QB (Red): 17.5 pts from 168 yds passing; 1 TD; 0 INT

Underachievers:
Doug Baldwin, Sea WR (Red): 4.0 pts (-12.5 projected) from 20 yds; 0 TD; 2/3 REC
Leonard Fournette, Jax RB (GOOD): 7.2 pts (-11.5 projected) from 42 yds; 0 TD; 12 RUNS
Jordan Howard, Chi RB (GOOD): 3.9 pts (-6.7 projected) from 19 yds; 0 TD; 7 RUNS

Commissioner Goodell's players didn't actually play all that well. Oh, except for Julio Jones who got almost half of the entire team's points.

Julio was the team this week

Besides a slight let down with Doug Baldwin, most of the Redmond SkiFrees player pretty well. All coach Brandon was missing was one big star player. (Besides Greg Zuerlein who at this point is just expected to get 17 points when the Rams win).

Pro Tip: Having a star player is a good way to win games

Sports and Such vs Team FENELON

PROJECTED SCORE: 118.1 - 117.8

FINAL SCORE: 126.2 - 124.6

WINNER: Sports and Such

Star Players:
Keenan Allen, LAC WR (FENE): 34.2 pts from 172 yds; 1 TD; 11/14 REC
Zach Ertz, Phi TE (SUCH): 26.3 pts from 103 yds; 1 TD; 10/12 REC
Tom Brady, NE QB (SUCH): 20.7 pts from 227 yds passing; 4 TD; 1 INT

Underachievers:
Dak Prescott, Dal QB (FENE): 3.2 pts (-13.0 projected) from 179 yds passing; 0 TD; 2 INT
T.Y. Hilton, Ind FLEX (SUCH): 3.5 pts (-8.5 projected) from 15 yds; 0 TD; 2/5 REC
Emmanuel Sanders, Den WR (SUCH): 4.2 pts (-7.6 projected) from 12 yds; 0 TD; 3/6 REC

Congrats team Sports and Such! This was another incredibly close match that came down to the last minutes of the Monday night game. Coach Brandon managed to squeak by with this victory thanks to a clutch 20 point performance from DeAndre Hopkins.

Sports and Such's victory this week was juuuust barely there
Coach Patrick lost another close one this week as he continues his late season slide. The only underachiever Patrick has on his team is Dak Prescott, but this loss sits pretty firmly on Dak's shoulders. 3.2 pts from a QB is absolutely terrible.
Feedback for Dak: play better

Seattle Handegg Squad vs Green Bay Mermen

PROJECTED SCORE: 118.2 - 131.1

FINAL SCORE: 104.8 - 103.4

WINNER: Seattle Handegg Squad

Star Players:
Joe Mixon, Cin RB (EGG): 25.5 pts from 165 yds; 1 TD; 23 RUNS
Russell Wilson, Sea QB (EGG): 23.6 pts from 228 yds passing; 3 TD; 1 INT
Adam Thielen, Min WR (EGG): 16.9 pts from 89 yds; 0 TD; 8/11 REC

Underachievers:
Steelers D/ST, D/ST (EGG): 3.0 pts (-11.7 projected) from 28 PA; 4 SCK;
Travis Kelce, KC TE (RISH): 6.9 pts (-9.5 projected) from 39 yds; 0 TD; 3/4 REC
LeSean McCoy, Buf RB (RISH): 11.9 pts (-8.2 projected) from 79 yds; 0 TD; 22 RUNS

Coach Andre handed the Green Bay Mermen their 2nd loss of the season! His players were obviously pumped and ready for this matchup, so the Seattle Handegg Squad ended up with all 3 of the star players.

Coach Andre's players preparing for their big game against the #1 seed

Coach Anna's team lost for only the 2nd time this season... but it's not nearly enough to remove her control of the #1 seed in the league. She has already clinched a place in the playoffs and I wouldn't expect her team to underperform 30 points below the prediction again.

This loss doesn't affect Anna's position in the playoffs!

The final game!

Zeke-a Virus (9-3) vs. Green Bay Mermen (10-2)
Sports and Such (9-3) vs. Ministry of Silly Walks (5-7)

2017 - Week 11

Week 11 had the highest scoring games in months! The lowest winning score was 120! Way to go league! Things are getting heated with only 2 games remaining until playoffs. Let's see what the projected playoff bracket looks like right now:

Drum roll please

Playoffs:

#1 Green Bay Mermen
#2 Sports and Such
#3 Zeke-a Virus
#4 Taco Tuesdays

 ---

In the hunt:

#5 Redmond SkiFrees
#6 Team FENELON
#7 Ministry of Silly Walks
#8 Commissioner Goodell
#9 Seattle Handegg Squad
#10 The Bad at Footballs

League All-Star Players

Keenan Allen, LAC WR (FENE): 40.2 pts (+25.3, over projected)
Antonio Brown, Pit WR (ZEKE): 42.4 pts (+21.1, over projected)
Chargers D/ST, D/ST (TACO): 24.0 pts (+15.3, over projected)

Coach Patrick had an incredible +25 performance from Keenan Allen. There's no way he could lose his game with a week like that... right?

League Bust Players

Dak Prescott, Dal QB (FENE): -1.2 pts (-19.8, under projected)
Zach Ertz, Phi TE (SUCH): 2.8 pts (-14.1, under projected)
Kareem Hunt, KC RB (MoSW): 10.7 pts (-10.4, under projected)

Fun fact: The QB passer rating for throwing every pass to the ground is 39.6. Dak Prescott scored a 30.4 on Sunday.

Best of the Bench

Alvin Kamara, NO Bench (BAD): 25.6 pts (+8.5, over projected)
Rishard Matthews, Ten Bench (TACO): 22.3 pts (+12.4, over projected)
Marvin Jones Jr., Det Bench (EGG): 18.5 pts (+8.3, over projected)

Alvin Kamara isn't a name you hear often. But he has a growing role on a New Orleans team that has a strong running game.

Taco Tuesdays vs Sports and Such

PROJECTED SCORE: 123.6 - 107.9

FINAL SCORE: 154.4 - 100.6

WINNER: Taco Tuesdays

Star Players:
Jaguars D/ST, D/ST (SUCH): 27.0 pts from 7 PA; 1 TD; 2 INT; 3 FR; 5 SCK;
Tom Brady, NE QB (SUCH): 25.6 pts from 339 yds passing; 3 TD; 0 INT
Mark Ingram, NO RB (TACO): 24.5 pts from 155 yds; 1 TD; 11 RUNS

Underachievers:
Zach Ertz, Phi TE (SUCH): 2.8 pts (-14.1 projected) from 8 yds; 0 TD; 2/5 REC
Rob Gronkowski, NE TE (TACO): 6.6 pts (-10.2 projected) from 36 yds; 0 TD; 3/3 REC
Emmanuel Sanders, Den WR (SUCH): 3.5 pts (-8.5 projected) from 15 yds; 0 TD; 2/8 REC

Team Taco Tuesday has the week high score! He achieved this score without a single superstar. None of coach Shane's players scored above 25 points, but 4 scored over 20. It was a real team effort! That's exactly what you want to see going into playoff season- consistent high scores.

Taco Tuesday has been #1 for two weeks in a row! Taco power!

Team Sports and Such snap their 4 game wining streak this week. Their starting RB was out due to a concussion, but coach Brandon didn't have any remaining RBs on their bench to fill in. We're hitting the part of the season where healthy RBs are scarce.
Coach Brandon ran out of players this week

Green Bay Mermen vs Redmond SkiFrees

PROJECTED SCORE: 129.2 - 118.6

FINAL SCORE: 133.9 - 106.9

WINNER: Green Bay Mermen

Star Players:
Ben Roethlisberger, Pit QB (Red): 29.0 pts from 299 yds passing; 4 TD; 0 INT
Kirk Cousins, Wsh QB (RISH): 26.0 pts from 322 yds passing; 3 TD; 0 INT
LeSean McCoy, Buf RB (RISH): 25.6 pts from 126 yds; 2 TD; 13 RUNS

Underachievers:
Greg Zuerlein, LAR K (Red): 1.0 pts (-9.4 projected) from 0/0 field goals; 1/1 XP
Stefon Diggs, Min FLEX (RISH): 7.2 pts (-6.7 projected) from 32 yds; 0 TD; 4/6 REC
Cameron Brate, TB TE (Red): 2.2 pts (-6.3 projected) from 12 yds; 0 TD; 1/3 REC

Coach Anna is on roll!!! The Green Bay Mermen are the only team at 10-1 and at this point they have clinched a spot in the Blitz of Apathy playoffs!

The mermen are looking super!

Coach Brandon scored a bit under projected, but I 100% blame this loss on Greg Zuerlein's 1 point performance. Seriously though, it's amazing that a kicker was the #1 underachiever vs. projected score in a matchup.

Greg Zuerlein has let as all down

Zeke-a Virus vs Ministry of Silly Walks

PROJECTED SCORE: 119.6 - 100.1

FINAL SCORE: 126.2 - 97.8

WINNER: Zeke-a Virus

Star Players:
Antonio Brown, Pit WR (ZEKE): 42.4 pts from 144 yds; 3 TD; 10/13 REC
Brandin Cooks, NE WR (ZEKE): 26.9 pts from 149 yds; 1 TD; 6/9 REC
Latavius Murray, Min RB (MoSW): 22.6 pts from 96 yds; 2 TD; 15 RUNS

Underachievers:
Kareem Hunt, KC RB (MoSW): 10.7 pts (-10.4 projected) from 77 yds; 0 TD; 18 RUNS
Nelson Agholor, Phi WR (MoSW): 0.8 pts (-9.5 projected) from -2 yds; 0 TD; 1/5 REC
Saints D/ST, D/ST (ZEKE): -4.0 pts (-9.0 projected) from 31 PA; 2 SCK;

"Thanks Antonio Brown!" -Antonio Brown owners everywhere.

Coach Nick had an incredible performance from his WR this week. When a player is already projected over 20 points and still ends up on top for exceeding expectations you're probably going to win your game. (for an exception, see coach Patrick's game).

After a bad start to the season, Zeke-a Virus is now tied for 1st in the West division

Coach Kristin's players are looking better than they did during her 5 game losing streak, but this week Joe Flacco, Nelson Agholor and Jordy Nelson all underachieved enough to drop this game.
The Ministry of Silly Walks are still trying to find their early season groove back

Seattle Handegg Squad vs The Bad At Footballs

PROJECTED SCORE: 103.8 - 103.4

FINAL SCORE: 122.8 - 102.2

WINNER: Seattle Handegg Squad

Star Players:
Russell Wilson, Sea QB (EGG): 30.9 pts from 258 yds passing; 3 TD; 1 INT
Adam Thielen, Min WR (EGG): 24.3 pts from 123 yds; 1 TD; 6/9 REC
Stephen Gostkowski, NE K (BAD): 20.0 pts from 4/4 field goals; 3/3 XP

Underachievers:
Jared Cook, Oak TE (BAD): 5.6 pts (-6.0 projected) from 36 yds; 0 TD; 2/5 REC
Joe Mixon, Cin RB (EGG): 6.9 pts (-5.1 projected) from 49 yds; 0 TD; 20 RUNS
Doug Martin, TB RB (EGG): 6.4 pts (-4.7 projected) from 44 yds; 0 TD; 19 RUNS

The Seattle Handegg Squad is now on a 3 game wining streak, partially thanks to amazing 'end of the season' Russell Wilson when he puts the entire Seahawks team on his back.

Russell Wilson is a wizard

Coach Derek doesn't read the blog!!!

Commissioner Goodell vs Team FENELON

PROJECTED SCORE: 106.6 - 113.3

FINAL SCORE: 120.2 - 103.2

WINNER: Commissioner Goodell

Star Players:
Keenan Allen, LAC WR (FENE): 40.2 pts from 162 yds; 2 TD; 12/13 REC
Larry Fitzgerald, Ari WR (GOOD): 24.1 pts from 91 yds; 1 TD; 9/10 REC
Ravens D/ST, D/ST (GOOD): 23.0 pts from 0 PA; 3 INT; 2 FR; 6 SCK;

Underachievers:
Dak Prescott, Dal QB (FENE): -1.2 pts (-19.8 projected) from 145 yds passing; 0 TD; 3 INT
Alex Smith, KC QB (GOOD): 7.9 pts (-10.2 projected) from 230 yds passing; 0 TD; 2 INT
James White, NE RB (FENE): 1.3 pts (-10.0 projected) from 13 yds; 0 TD; 5 RUNS

Commissioner Goodell won this one win two players out. He should probably set up the Fantasy Football app alerts to remind him to take out players if they are game day decisions. Oh well. Luckily the rest of coach Skyler's players filled for him this week.

Thank you the rest of my players

Coach Patrick had this highest overachieving player of the week with Keenan Allen scoring 40.2 pts for the Chargers. Unfortunately he was let down in other departments, especially from Dak who scored -1.2 points from 3 INTs.

I don't know how that happens

--- Coming up next ---
Only 2 games remain until playoffs

Seattle Handegg Squad (4-7) vs. Green Bay Mermen (10-1)
Sports and Such (8-3) vs. Team FENELON (5-6)

Ministry of Silly Walks (5-6) vs. Taco Tuesdays (6-5)
Commissioner Goodell (4-7) vs. Redmond SkiFrees (5-6)

2017 - Week 10

Good news! The power came back on at my house just in time to run the analysis script and pick out some gifs! The playoffs are fast approaching and week 10 had some very close games- let's take a look!

League All-Star Players

Adam Thielen, Min FLEX (EGG): 30.6 pts (+17.9, over projected)
DeMarco Murray, Ten RB (TACO): 29.2 pts (+16.6, over projected)
Devin Funchess, Car FLEX (GOOD): 26.2 pts (+16.2, over projected)

The Seattle HandEgg squad found a late-season star with Adam Thielen.

League Bust Players

Devonta Freeman, Atl RB (SUCH): 0.3 pts (-15.6, under projected)
Antonio Brown, Pit WR (ZEKE): 7.7 pts (-14.4, under projected)
Tyrod Taylor, Buf QB (Red): 2.9 pts (-14.4, under projected)

Team Sports and Such still managed to win, but Devonta Freeman will likely be out for a few weeks due to a particularly bad concussion on Sunday.

Best of the Bench

Robert Woods, LAR Bench (Red): 37.1 pts (+26.1, over projected)
Cam Newton, Car Bench (EGG): 35.7 pts (+18.9, over projected)
Jared Goff, LAR Bench (FENE): 26.5 pts (+10.6, over projected)

The Redmond SkiFrees have one of the strongest benches for WRs in the league. If anyone is in the market, coach Brandon might be willing to make some trades.

Taco Tuesdays vs Commissioner Goodell

PROJECTED SCORE: 112.4 - 117.4

FINAL SCORE: 136.7 - 127.6

WINNER: Taco Tuesdays

Star Players:
Mark Ingram, NO RB (TACO): 31.1 pts from 131 yds; 3 TD; 21 RUNS
DeMarco Murray, Ten RB (TACO): 29.2 pts from 72 yds; 3 TD; 14 RUNS
Devin Funchess, Car FLEX (GOOD): 26.2 pts from 92 yds; 2 TD; 5/6 REC

Underachievers:
Leonard Fournette, Jax RB (GOOD): 6.6 pts (-12.5 projected) from 46 yds; 0 TD; 17 RUNS
Jordan Howard, Chi RB (GOOD): 5.4 pts (-9.3 projected) from 54 yds; 0 TD; 15 RUNS
Panthers D/ST, D/ST (TACO): 2.0 pts (-7.7 projected) from 21 PA; 1 INT;

Team Taco Tuesdays coasted this week to the weekend's league high score! Coach Shane's success came from his running backs racking up 60 points from just the two of them. And then Davante Adams tacked on his own 20 points for good measure.

It's Taco Tuesday's Day

Coach Skyler is convinced that coach Shane used vampire magic to steal running back power. While Taco Tuesday excelled with their running backs, both of Commissioner Goodell's were far underachieving.
It's the second week I've lost with the 2nd highest score in the league

Green Bay Mermen vs Team FENELON

PROJECTED SCORE: 117.7 - 112.1

FINAL SCORE: 108.3 - 66.7

WINNER: Green Bay Mermen

Star Players:
Kirk Cousins, Wsh QB (RISH): 27.6 pts from 327 yds passing; 3 TD; 1 INT
Michael Thomas, NO WR (RISH): 20.7 pts from 117 yds; 0 TD; 9/10 REC
Todd Gurley II, LAR FLEX (RISH): 19.6 pts from 136 yds; 0 TD; 6/7 REC

Underachievers:
LeSean McCoy, Buf RB (RISH): 9.0 pts (-12.0 projected) from 60 yds; 0 TD; 8 RUNS
Jack Doyle, Ind TE (FENE): 2.9 pts (-9.2 projected) from 9 yds; 0 TD; 2/5 REC
Tyler Lockett, Sea WR (FENE): 2.6 pts (-8.2 projected) from 16 yds; 0 TD; 1/2 REC

Coach Anna remains on top as she extends her incredible 5 game winning streak! This week she has all the star players of the game; and besides an underperforming tight end (that will be replaced once Travis Kelce is off bye) the Green Bay Mermen are looking good!

Anna is good at fantasy football!

Coach Patrick is still trying to figure out what happened to his team. Only 3 of his players managed to get double digits this week and 5 of his bench got 0 points.

This is not fine

Seattle Handegg Squad vs Redmond SkiFrees

PROJECTED SCORE: 112.3 - 121.5

FINAL SCORE: 102.6 - 98.2

WINNER: Seattle Handegg Squad

Star Players:
Adam Thielen, Min FLEX (EGG): 30.6 pts from 166 yds; 1 TD; 8/12 REC
Golden Tate, Det FLEX (Red): 21.7 pts from 97 yds; 1 TD; 6/7 REC
Russell Wilson, Sea QB (EGG): 19.4 pts from 238 yds passing; 2 TD; 0 INT

Underachievers:
Tyrod Taylor, Buf QB (Red): 2.9 pts (-14.4 projected) from 56 yds passing; 0 TD; 1 INT
Bilal Powell, NYJ RB (EGG): 2.6 pts (-12.8 projected) from 36 yds; 0 TD; 10 RUNS
Marvin Jones Jr., Det WR (EGG): 3.2 pts (-8.6 projected) from 22 yds; 0 TD; 1/2 REC

The Seattle Handegg Squad is on a winning streak after this week! His players are generally on an upswing and his bench is looking strong too!

Coach Andre's squad is improving

The Redmond SkiFrees lost another close game this week. It came down to coach Andre's last player, but it was just enough to edge past coach Brandon. Coach Brandon could have used a single touchdown or even one fewer INT from Tyrod Taylor this week.

At least coach Brandon's kicker is godlike

Sports and Such vs Zeke-a Virus

PROJECTED SCORE: 108.7 - 116.8

FINAL SCORE: 98.8 - 96.2

WINNER: Sports and Such

Star Players:
Tom Brady, NE QB (SUCH): 22.6 pts from 266 yds passing; 3 TD; 0 INT
Christian McCaffrey, Car RB (ZEKE): 20.0 pts from 50 yds; 2 TD; 5 RUNS
Emmanuel Sanders, Den WR (SUCH): 19.7 pts from 137 yds; 0 TD; 6/11 REC

Underachievers:
Devonta Freeman, Atl RB (SUCH): 0.3 pts (-15.6 projected) from 3 yds; 0 TD; 2 RUNS
Antonio Brown, Pit WR (ZEKE): 7.7 pts (-14.4 projected) from 47 yds; 0 TD; 3/7 REC
Adrian Peterson, Ari RB (ZEKE): 3.2 pts (-9.4 projected) from 42 yds; 0 TD; 21 RUNS

Team Sports and Such moves into firm 2nd place in the league after this crucial game! Tom Brady and his WRs are keeping Sports and Such looking good. Coach Brandon is only one game below coach Anna in the current playoff projections.

Team Zeke-a Virus finally lost Zeke (officially) and also lost their first game after a 6 game winning streak. The match was another nail biter game and coach Nick has plenty of potential to start a new win streak next week.

Zeke left big shoes to fill for Adrian Peterson

Ministry of Silly Walks vs The Bad At Footballs

PROJECTED SCORE: 88.7 - 69.7

FINAL SCORE: 95.3 - 74.0

WINNER: Ministry of Silly Walks

Star Players:
A.J. Green, Cin WR (MoSW): 22.5 pts from 115 yds; 1 TD; 5/7 REC
Le'Veon Bell, Pit RB (BAD): 16.2 pts from 112 yds; 0 TD; 26 RUNS
Philip Rivers, LAC QB (MoSW): 15.3 pts from 235 yds passing; 2 TD; 1 INT

Underachievers:
Le'Veon Bell, Pit RB (BAD): 16.2 pts (-7.3 projected) from 112 yds; 0 TD; 26 RUNS
Jordy Nelson, GB WR (MoSW): 5.0 pts (-5.6 projected) from 20 yds; 0 TD; 3/4 REC
Coby Fleener, NO TE (MoSW): 0.0 pts (-5.1 projected) from 0 yds; 0 TD; 0/1 REC

The Ministry of Silly Walks snaps their 5 game losing streak with their win this week. Things should be easier next week without 3 players on bye.

Coach Kristin is glad to get a win finally

I don't think Coach Derek reads the blog.
