2017 - Week 8

It's Halloween! Which means it's time for a spoopy recap of the fantasy football from the weekend using Halloween gifs!

Heck yeah! It's pumpkin dance gif season!

League All-Star Players

DeAndre Hopkins, Hou WR (SUCH): 36.4 pts (+21.0, over projected)
Ravens D/ST, D/ST (GOOD): 27.0 pts (+19.5, over projected)
Deshaun Watson, Hou QB (ZEKE): 32.8 pts (+17.4, over projected)

Houston exceeded expectations during the shootout in Seattle on Sunday. Team Sports and Such benefited the most from DeAndre Hopkins' playmaking.

League Bust Players

Jordan Reed, Wsh TE (FENE): 1.5 pts (-11.3, under projected)
Hunter Henry, LAC FLEX (RISH): 3.1 pts (-10.1, under projected)
Pierre Garcon, SF FLEX (MoSW): 3.7 pts (-9.6, under projected)

Jordan Reed may be out again next week after a rib injury that left him with only a single reception last weekend.

Best of the Bench

Jack Doyle, Ind Bench (FENE): 30.1 pts (+20.6, over projected)
Will Fuller V, Hou Bench (Red): 29.5 pts (+20.3, over projected)
Jerick McKinnon, Min Bench (ZEKE): 26.2 pts (+13.9, over projected)

The bench had a great week! Coach Fenelon's backup TE ended up with 14 targets against Cincinnati, which is great news since he's in the market for a new starting TE.

Sports and Such vs Seattle Handegg Squad

FINAL SCORE: 141.7 - 116.8

WINNER: Sports and Such

Star Players:
DeAndre Hopkins, Hou WR (SUCH): 36.4 pts from 224 yds; 1 TD; 8/11 REC
Russell Wilson, Sea QB (EGG): 35.1 pts from 452 yds passing; 4 TD; 1 INT
Harrison Butker, KC K (SUCH): 21.0 pts from 5/5 field goals; 2/2 XP

Underachievers:
Devonta Freeman, Atl RB (SUCH): 7.1 pts (-9.1 projected) from 61 yds; 0 TD; 12 RUNS
T.Y. Hilton, Ind WR (SUCH): 3.5 pts (-7.7 projected) from 15 yds; 0 TD; 2/7 REC
Doug Martin, TB RB (EGG): 8.5 pts (-3.6 projected) from 75 yds; 0 TD; 18 RUNS

Coach Brandon is starting a new winning streak after posting the week high score. Devonta Freeman and T.Y. Hilton were both projected to get much higher scores, but every other player on Sports and Such managed to break double digits. Sports and Such is on a roll again.

Coach Brandon getting back to business winning games

There were a lot of high scores this week and Coach Andre just ended up going against the wrong team. Russell Wilson is looking very good and the rest of the Seattle Handegg squad are putting up respectable points.

Coach Andre keeps getting that bad luck

Taco Tuesdays vs Redmond SkiFrees

FINAL SCORE: 136.9 - 120.2

WINNER: Taco Tuesdays

Star Players:
Jamison Crowder, Wsh WR (TACO): 22.5 pts from 135 yds; 0 TD; 9/13 REC
Eagles D/ST, D/ST (Red): 21.0 pts from 10 PA; 1 TD; 2 INT; 4 SCK; 1 BLK;
Melvin Gordon, LAC RB (Red): 20.9 pts from 139 yds; 1 TD; 14 RUNS

Underachievers:
Dez Bryant, Dal WR (Red): 7.9 pts (-6.5 projected) from 39 yds; 0 TD; 4/6 REC
Drew Brees, NO QB (TACO): 11.8 pts (-5.9 projected) from 299 yds passing; 0 TD; 0 INT
Doug Baldwin, Sea WR (Red): 11.4 pts (-3.5 projected) from 54 yds; 0 TD; 6/10 REC

Coach Shane put up the second highest score this week even though Drew Brees slumped in the win against Chicago. He'll have to thank his impressive wide receivers this week for their 18 receptions for 260 yds.

The impressive wide receivers dance

Coach Brandon was stuck watching another close matchup that ended up not going his way. Even though Doug Baldwin made some crucial catches for the Seahawks he never found the endzone, which was okay for the Seahawks but bad for Redmond SkiFrees.

Coach Brandon stuck watching his close losses

Zeke-a Virus vs Team FENELON

FINAL SCORE: 120.9 - 91.5

WINNER: Zeke-a Virus

Star Players:
Deshaun Watson, Hou QB (ZEKE): 32.8 pts from 402 yds passing; 4 TD; 3 INT
Ezekiel Elliott, Dal RB (ZEKE): 26.4 pts from 154 yds; 2 TD; 33 RUNS
Lamar Miller, Hou RB (FENE): 22.3 pts from 73 yds; 2 TD; 21 RUNS

Underachievers:
Jordan Reed, Wsh TE (FENE): 1.5 pts (-11.3 projected) from 5 yds; 0 TD; 1/1 REC
Tyreek Hill, KC WR (FENE): 3.8 pts (-8.8 projected) from 38 yds; 0 TD; 2/6 REC
Antonio Brown, Pit WR (ZEKE): 12.0 pts (-8.7 projected) from 70 yds; 0 TD; 5/10 REC

Team Zeke-a Virus once again had a strong week adding on their 5th win in a row. Thanks to some smart waiver wire work, coach Nick has a bench that looks more than ready to pick up some slack if Zeke is actually suspended this time.

Team Zeke-a Virus has been turning into something scary recently

Team FENELON played very well last week. This week they did not.

This week they got a rock

Green Bay Mermen vs Ministry of Silly Walks

FINAL SCORE: 115.7 - 65.9

WINNER: Green Bay Mermen

Star Players:
LeSean McCoy, Buf RB (RISH): 29.3 pts from 173 yds; 1 TD; 27 RUNS
Travis Kelce, KC TE (RISH): 26.3 pts from 133 yds; 1 TD; 7/10 REC
Michael Thomas, NO WR (RISH): 14.7 pts from 77 yds; 0 TD; 7/8 REC

Underachievers:
Hunter Henry, LAC FLEX (RISH): 3.1 pts (-10.1 projected) from 11 yds; 0 TD; 2/2 REC
Pierre Garcon, SF FLEX (MoSW): 3.7 pts (-9.6 projected) from 17 yds; 0 TD; 2/4 REC
Kareem Hunt, KC RB (MoSW): 9.8 pts (-8.0 projected) from 68 yds; 0 TD; 22 RUNS

Coach Anna extends her win streak and remains the sole leader of the league! LeSean McCoy and Travis Kelce picked up the majority of the work keeping the Mermen on top.

Coach Anna just keeps on winning

The Ministry of Silly Walks is on a losing streak this week. Looking at the numbers, coach Kristin's players in the last few weeks has seen a drop in targets. It's hard to get past single digits when you only get 3 targets.

Without changing anything, Coach Kristin suddenly stopped winning

Commissioner Goodell vs The Bad At Footballs

FINAL SCORE: 107.8 - 80.8

WINNER: Commissioner Goodell

Star Players:
Ravens D/ST, D/ST (GOOD): 27.0 pts from 0 PA; 2 TD; 2 INT; 3 SCK;
Jimmy Graham, Sea TE (GOOD): 19.9 pts from 39 yds; 2 TD; 4/5 REC
Jordan Howard, Chi RB (GOOD): 15.1 pts from 121 yds; 0 TD; 23 RUNS

Underachievers:
Devin Funchess, Car WR (GOOD): 3.1 pts (-8.5 projected) from 11 yds; 0 TD; 2/6 REC
Le'Veon Bell, Pit RB (BAD): 14.1 pts (-8.1 projected) from 81 yds; 1 TD; 25 RUNS
Julio Jones, Atl WR (GOOD): 10.4 pts (-6.0 projected) from 74 yds; 0 TD; 3/6 REC

Commissioner Goodell managed to win another this week thanks to the Raven's shut out of the Dolphins. The rest of his players were on BYE.

5 / 7 of my bench was on BYE

The Bad at Footballs let another week go by with a missing player on their team. Coach Derek should download the fantasy football app!

Your team is crying out for help!

----- Coming up next week -------

Week 9

Green Bay Mermen (7-1) vs. Commissioner Goodell (3-5)
Zeke-a Virus (6-2) vs. Taco Tuesdays (4-4)
Sports and Such (6-2) vs. The Bad At Footballs (0-8)
Team FENELON (5-3) vs. Seattle Handegg Squad (1-7)
Ministry of Silly Walks (4-4) vs. Redmond SkiFrees (4-4)

2017 - Week 7

During the 7th weekend of Fantasy Football action we saw several lopsided victories. The closest match was decided by 25 pts. Let's see how that happened!

League All-Star Players

Ezekiel Elliott, Dal FLEX (ZEKE): 40.9 pts (+19.6, over projected)
Derek Carr, Oak QB (BAD): 30.2 pts (+14.3, over projected)
Carson Wentz, Phi QB (FENE): 31.0 pts (+13.6, over projected)

Ezekiel Elliott had a great week. His roller coaster of going from suspended to unsuspended hasn't seemed to phase him at all.

League Bust Players

Carson Palmer, Ari QB (ZEKE): 2.9 pts (-13.0, under projected)
Jordy Nelson, GB WR (MoSW): 2.3 pts (-12.4, under projected)
Marshawn Lynch, Oak RB (SUCH): 0.9 pts (-11.3, under projected)

Another week, another injured QB. Carson Palmer broke his arm and will be out for at least 8 weeks.

Best of the Bench

Dak Prescott, Dal Bench (FENE): 30.0 pts (+12.3, over projected)
Alex Smith, KC Bench (GOOD): 25.7 pts (+7.9, over projected)
Jameis Winston, TB Bench (TACO): 23.4 pts (+8.1, over projected)

Dallas owned the individual high scores this week thanks to their 40 - 10 win over the 49ers.

Team FENELON vs Ministry of Silly Walks

FINAL SCORE: 159.0 - 75.0

WINNER: Team FENELON

Star Players:
Carson Wentz, Phi QB (FENE): 31.0 pts from 268 yds passing; 4 TD; 1 INT
Jordan Reed, Wsh TE (FENE): 26.4 pts from 64 yds; 2 TD; 8/10 REC
Tyreek Hill, KC WR (FENE): 25.2 pts from 132 yds; 1 TD; 6/8 REC

Underachievers:
Jordy Nelson, GB WR (MoSW): 2.3 pts (-12.4 projected) from 13 yds; 0 TD; 1/4 REC
A.J. Green, Cin WR (MoSW): 7.1 pts (-9.2 projected) from 41 yds; 0 TD; 3/6 REC
Ty Montgomery, GB RB (MoSW): 2.5 pts (-9.2 projected) from 15 yds; 0 TD; 4 RUNS

Team FENELON leads the league this week in points thanks to double-digit performances from all of his players except his kicker. In fact, the only reason his kicker didn't get more points is because he was injured in the game against the 49ers (obviously from Dak and Zeke scoring so much).

Kickers are the one position you don't expect an injury
(except D/ST I guess...)

Without changing much on her team, coach Kristin saw decreased production across the board this week. Most of her players failed to break past 10.0 pts this week mostly because none of her players had any TDs. That's just bad luck and you'd expect it to be back on track next week.

It's hard to win games with 0 touchdowns

Green Bay Mermen vs Taco Tuesdays

FINAL SCORE: 155.4 - 85.7

WINNER: Green Bay Mermen

Star Players:
LeSean McCoy, Buf RB (RISH): 27.2 pts from 122 yds; 2 TD; 23 RUNS
Todd Gurley, LAR RB (RISH): 25.4 pts from 154 yds; 1 TD; 22 RUNS
Kirk Cousins, Wsh QB (RISH): 23.9 pts from 303 yds passing; 3 TD; 1 INT

Underachievers:
Davante Adams, GB WR (TACO): 3.2 pts (-8.0 projected) from 12 yds; 0 TD; 2/5 REC
Alshon Jeffery, Phi WR (TACO): 5.7 pts (-7.8 projected) from 37 yds; 0 TD; 2/6 REC
Rob Gronkowski, NE TE (TACO): 8.1 pts (-7.3 projected) from 51 yds; 0 TD; 3/7 REC

The Green Bay Mermen stay in the lead with another victory this week! Coach Anna's team was consistent across the board getting points from all departments. This looks like the team to beat so far!

The Mermen continue their roll

Team Taco Tuesdays fell below their average this week mostly because of bad performances from the WR corps. This wasn't because of a lack of passes though, they had a combined 7 receptions from 17 targets.

Coach Shane all weekend

Redmond SkiFrees vs The Bad At Footballs

FINAL SCORE: 135.7 - 91.4

WINNER: Redmond SkiFrees

Star Players:
Derek Carr, Oak QB (BAD): 30.2 pts from 417 yds passing; 3 TD; 0 INT
Doug Baldwin, Sea WR (Red): 24.2 pts from 92 yds; 1 TD; 9/12 REC
Le'Veon Bell, Pit RB (BAD): 22.2 pts from 192 yds; 0 TD; 35 RUNS

Underachievers:
Melvin Gordon, LAC RB (Red): 5.4 pts (-10.2 projected) from 44 yds; 0 TD; 18 RUNS
Eric Decker, Ten WR (BAD): 0.0 pts (-9.4 projected) from 0 yds; 0 TD; 0/2 REC
Buccaneers D/ST, D/ST (BAD): -1.0 pts (-6.4 projected) from 30 PA; 1 FR; 1 SCK;

Coach Brandon didn't need his superstar RB this week. Melvin Gordon was averaging 35 pts per game for the last two weeks, but he suddenly dropped to 5pts this week. Luckily, every other player on the Redmond Skifrees stepped up to get a win streak going.

Teamwork!

The Bad at Footballs had the highest average per player if you ignore the 3 players who got 0.0pts and the one who got -1.0pts. With a few adjustment coach Derek could have had this game!

Coach Derek on the Season so far

Zeke-a Virus vs Seattle Handegg Squad

FINAL SCORE: 123.1 - 98.3

WINNER: Zeke-a Virus

Star Players:
Ezekiel Elliott, Dal FLEX (ZEKE): 40.9 pts from 219 yds; 3 TD; 1/3 REC
Russell Wilson, Sea QB (EGG): 26.4 pts from 334 yds passing; 3 TD; 0 INT
Antonio Brown, Pit WR (ZEKE): 16.5 pts from 65 yds; 1 TD; 4/10 REC

Underachievers:
Carson Palmer, Ari QB (ZEKE): 2.9 pts (-13.0 projected) from 122 yds passing; 0 TD; 1 INT
Demaryius Thomas, Den WR (EGG): 2.9 pts (-10.7 projected) from 9 yds; 0 TD; 2/6 REC
Austin Hooper, Atl TE (EGG): 1.6 pts (-7.5 projected) from 6 yds; 0 TD; 1/1 REC

Team Zeke-A Virus won the closest matchup of the week! Zeke really earned his mascot status as he scored 3 TDs from 27 touches this week.

A good week for mascots

Russell Wilson filled in for Aaron Rodgers on coach Andre's team and he had a great week. Unfortunately the Seattle Handegg squad still struggled with getting TDs from his wide receivers who only caught 10 of 24 targets.

Coach Andre is having a tough start to the season

Sports and Such vs Commissioner Goodell

FINAL SCORE: 93.9 - 67.7

WINNER: Sports and Such

Star Players:
Julio Jones, Atl WR (GOOD): 24.9 pts from 99 yds; 1 TD; 9/13 REC
Zach Ertz, Phi TE (SUCH): 19.9 pts from 89 yds; 1 TD; 5/5 REC
Tom Brady, NE QB (SUCH): 18.5 pts from 249 yds passing; 2 TD; 0 INT

Underachievers:
Marshawn Lynch, Oak RB (SUCH): 0.9 pts (-11.3 projected) from 9 yds; 0 TD; 2 RUNS
Frank Gore, Ind FLEX (SUCH): 3.4 pts (-8.5 projected) from 34 yds; 0 TD; 0/0 REC
Larry Fitzgerald, Ari WR (GOOD): 5.9 pts (-8.3 projected) from 29 yds; 0 TD; 3/3 REC

Sports and Such avoided a losing streak this week with solid performances from his D/ST, Kicker and TE. Basically the opposite of most team compositions. Although, it didn't help that Marshawn got himself suspended for a week after his unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

It's hard to dislike this man
Commissioner Goodell sported the lowest score this week thanks to bad games all around (except for you Julio and Jimmy, you two are okay).
Last week's high score wasn't meant to last

----- Coming up next week -------

Week 8

Green Bay Mermen (6-1) vs. Ministry of Silly Walks (4-3)
Team FENELON (5-2) vs. Zeke-a Virus (5-2)
Seattle Handegg Squad (1-6) vs. Sports and Such (5-2)
Redmond SkiFrees (4-3) vs. Taco Tuesdays (3-4)
Commissioner Goodell (2-5) vs. The Bad At Footballs (0-7)

2017 - Week 6

In the sixth week of football, injuries and chaos remind us that fantasy football is really really really random. After several upset victories we are left with a single team in first place. Let's see how this week went!

League All-Star Players

Melvin Gordon, LAC RB (Red): 36.0 pts (+20.1, over projected)
Rams D/ST, D/ST (EGG): 21.0 pts (+14.7, over projected)
Larry Fitzgerald, Ari WR (GOOD): 27.8 pts (+13.9, over projected)

Melvin Gordon had a monster performance against Oakland this week. He is one of the few standout players the Chargers have and if they continue to utilize him like this last week then coach Brandon will be very happy.

League Bust Players

Aaron Rodgers, GB QB (EGG): 0.7 pts (-18.1, under projected)
C.J. Anderson, Den RB (RISH): 1.7 pts (-13.9, under projected)
Michael Thomas, NO WR (RISH): 4.1 pts (-12.2, under projected)

Aaron Rodgers' injury was terrible news this weekend. We hope he will have a quick recovery.

Best of the Bench

Adrian Peterson, Ari Bench (ZEKE): 25.4 pts (+16.4, over projected)
Jerick McKinnon, Min Bench (ZEKE): 24.9 pts (+12.8, over projected)
Cam Newton, Car Bench (EGG): 20.7 pts (+3.7, over projected)

Team Zeke-a Virus had a strong bench this week. He picked up Adrian Peterson from waivers, which is looking like a very smart move.

Zeke-a Virus vs Commissioner Goodell

FINAL SCORE: 168.6 - 145.6

WINNER: Zeke-a Virus

Star Players:
Antonio Brown, Pit WR (ZEKE): 29.5 pts from 155 yds; 1 TD; 8/10 REC
Larry Fitzgerald, Ari WR (GOOD): 27.8 pts from 138 yds; 1 TD; 10/11 REC
Deshaun Watson, Hou QB (ZEKE): 23.3 pts from 225 yds passing; 3 TD; 1 INT

Underachievers:
Devin Funchess, Car WR (GOOD): 6.6 pts (-5.6 projected) from 36 yds; 0 TD; 3/9 REC
Julio Jones, Atl FLEX (GOOD): 13.2 pts (-3.8 projected) from 72 yds; 0 TD; 6/7 REC
Javorius Allen, Bal RB (ZEKE): 9.6 pts (-3.5 projected) from 66 yds; 0 TD; 10 RUNS

Coach Nick set a league high score passing coach Anna's previous record of 157.0 by a whopping 10.8 points! Team Zeke-a Virus is looking unstoppable even with Ezekiel Elliott's reinstated suspension. I mean... when your kicker is putting up 21 pts who needs RBs?

Team 'A Virus' winning without Zeke

Commissioner Goodell posted the 2nd highest score in the league this week, but this week the matchup mattered more. Luckily there is always next week!

The weekly reminder that fantasy football is mostly luck!

Taco Tuesdays vs Team FENELON

FINAL SCORE: 137.9 - 106.6

WINNER: Taco Tuesdays

Star Players:
Mark Ingram, NO RB (TACO): 30.0 pts from 150 yds; 2 TD; 25 RUNS
Rob Gronkowski, NE TE (TACO): 26.3 pts from 83 yds; 2 TD; 6/10 REC
Carlos Hyde, SF RB (FENE): 24.5 pts from 75 yds; 2 TD; 13 RUNS

Underachievers:
Chris Hogan, NE WR (FENE): 2.9 pts (-12.0 projected) from 19 yds; 0 TD; 1/4 REC
Drew Brees, NO QB (TACO): 11.5 pts (-7.2 projected) from 186 yds passing; 2 TD; 2 INT
Keenan Allen, LAC WR (FENE): 9.5 pts (-6.2 projected) from 45 yds; 0 TD; 5/9 REC

Any week you have a player put up 30 pts is a good week. And coach Shane nearly had two! Mark Ingram and Gronk had incredible games this week putting the Taco Tuesdays up for another win.

Taco Tuesday's star players are looking hot

Coach Patrick put up a respectable showing, but while Gronk was busy balling out he was stealing points away from Chris Hogan who ended up being Team FENELON's greatest disappointment.

Coach Patrick does not appreciate his opponent stealing his receptions

Seattle Handegg Squad vs Ministry of Silly Walks

FINAL SCORE: 116.7 - 85.0

WINNER: Seattle Handegg Squad

Star Players:
Demaryius Thomas, Den WR (EGG): 21.3 pts from 133 yds; 0 TD; 10/14 REC
Rams D/ST, D/ST (EGG): 21.0 pts from 17 PA; 2 TD; 1 INT; 5 SCK; 1 BLK;
Kelvin Benjamin, Car WR (EGG): 18.9 pts from 99 yds; 0 TD; 9/13 REC

Underachievers:
Aaron Rodgers, GB QB (EGG): 0.7 pts (-18.1 projected) from 18 yds passing; 0 TD; 0 INT
Jesse James, Pit TE (EGG): 0.0 pts (-7.2 projected) from 0 yds; 0 TD; 0/0 REC
Latavius Murray, Min RB (MoSW): 4.7 pts (-6.5 projected) from 37 yds; 0 TD; 15 RUNS

Coach Andre recorded his season's first W this week with a strong showing from all of his players. Oh... except for his players that gave him 0 points. Aaron Rodgers was injured early on in his game and may be out for the season and tight end Jesse James never had the ball thrown at him. Nah, let's just focus on those solid performances!

Winning!

The Ministry of Silly Walks was handed just their second loss of the season in a sudden week of bad luck. Mercedes Lewis dropped both of his targets and none of her other players could haul in TDs leading to a down week.

Off days happen

Redmond SkiFrees vs Sports and Such

FINAL SCORE: 105.2 - 81.8

WINNER: Redmond SkiFrees

Star Players:
Melvin Gordon, LAC RB (Red): 36.0 pts from 150 yds; 2 TD; 25 RUNS
Golden Tate, Det WR (Red): 22.6 pts from 96 yds; 1 TD; 7/7 REC
Chris Thompson, Wsh FLEX (Red): 17.8 pts from 138 yds; 0 TD; 4/5 REC

Underachievers:
T.Y. Hilton, Ind WR (SUCH): 2.9 pts (-11.4 projected) from 19 yds; 0 TD; 1/4 REC
Mike Gillislee, NE RB (Red): 2.4 pts (-10.7 projected) from 44 yds; 0 TD; 10 RUNS
Marshawn Lynch, Oak RB (SUCH): 6.3 pts (-7.3 projected) from 63 yds; 0 TD; 13 RUNS

Melvin Gordon scored 36 pts. The rest is history. Coach Brandon had some amazing performances from his star players, but pretty lackluster performances from many of his other positions. Although he wins this week's battle of the Brandons, he will need more steady scorers to continue the momentum.

But a menacing buzzkill nonetheless!!!

Team chaos took its toll on Sports and Such this week as well. Several of coach Brandon's regular standout players couldn't find the endzone this week leading to this loss. I guess his players needed a cat nap this week.

But after this catnap they'll be ready for more touchdowns

Green Bay Mermen vs The Bad At Footballs

FINAL SCORE: 92.5 - 88.2

WINNER: Green Bay Mermen

Star Players:
Le'Veon Bell, Pit RB (BAD): 28.1 pts from 191 yds; 1 TD; 32 RUNS
Kirk Cousins, Wsh QB (RISH): 27.8 pts from 330 yds passing; 3 TD; 1 INT
Jarvis Landry, Mia WR (RISH): 20.2 pts from 62 yds; 1 TD; 8/14 REC

Underachievers:
C.J. Anderson, Den RB (RISH): 1.7 pts (-13.9 projected) from 17 yds; 0 TD; 9 RUNS
Michael Thomas, NO WR (RISH): 4.1 pts (-12.2 projected) from 11 yds; 0 TD; 3/6 REC
Derek Carr, Oak QB (BAD): 6.8 pts (-10.1 projected) from 171 yds passing; 1 TD; 2 INT

The Green Bay Mermen were the only first place team to survive the chaos this weekend... and now they are the sole team in first place! Coach Anna had some struggles on her team this week, but she managed to stay ahead thanks to Kirk Cousin's great game against San Francisco.

Coach Anna sitting up in first place all by herself

Coach Derek lost a close match this week partially due to Jeremy Maclin being out. The good news is that Team Bad at Football has some players on their bench who are doing pretty well. He might be able to swap out a few positions to put together a strong team.

But that's just my opinion, man

----- Coming up next week -------

Week 7

Taco Tuesdays (3-3) vs. Green Bay Mermen (5-1)
Ministry of Silly Walks (4-2) vs. Team FENELON (4-2)
Sports and Such (4-2) vs. Commissioner Goodell (2-4)
Zeke-a Virus (4-2) vs. Seattle Handegg Squad (1-5)
The Bad At Footballs (0-6) vs. Redmond SkiFrees (3-3)

2017 - Week 5

After this week's equalizing results, we have a 4-way tie for 1st place in the league! The playoff spots are still wide open and it could be anyone's season. Let's see how it all went down!

League All-Star Players

Jaguars D/ST, D/ST (SUCH): 26.0 pts (+19.9 over projected)
Melvin Gordon, LAC RB (Red): 34.3 pts (+19.7 over projected)
Deshaun Watson, Hou QB (ZEKE): 35.5 pts (+19.2 over projected)

The Jaguars defense and special teams stole the show this week getting nearly 20 points more than projected against the Steelers.

League Bust Players

Carlos Hyde, SF RB (FENE): 2.8 pts (-13.6 under projected)
Stefon Diggs, Min WR (RISH): 1.4 pts (-13.5 under projected)
DeShone Kizer, Cle QB (Red): 2.4 pts (-12.9 under projected)

San Francisco's running back had a tough week against the Colts. They kept him to just 11 yards on 8 rushing attempts.

Best of the Bench

Carson Wentz, Phi Bench (FENE): 27.3 pts (+11.4 over projected)
Cam Newton, Car Bench (EGG): 26.2 pts (+10.5 over projected)
Chris Hogan, NE Bench (FENE): 21.4 pts (+7.0 over projected)

We had another great week for QBs on the bench. But coach Patrick is showing the greatest depth with Chris Hogan also having a better-than-expected receiving week against Tampa.

Sports and Such vs Ministry of Silly Walks

FINAL SCORE: 144.4 - 119.8

WINNER: Sports and Such

Star Players:
A.J. Green, Cin WR (MoSW): 29.9 pts from 189 yds; 1 TD; 7/13 REC
DeAndre Hopkins, Hou WR (SUCH): 27.2 pts from 52 yds; 3 TD; 4/12 REC
Jaguars D/ST, D/ST (SUCH): 26.0 pts from 9 PA; 2 TD; 5 INT; 2 SCK;

Underachievers:
Tom Brady, NE QB (SUCH): 12.6 pts (-7.6 projected) from 303 yds passing; 1 TD; 1 INT
Jordy Nelson, GB WR (MoSW): 10.4 pts (-7.5 projected) from 24 yds; 1 TD; 2/4 REC
Randall Cobb, GB FLEX (SUCH): 6.9 pts (-6.3 projected) from 29 yds; 0 TD; 4/5 REC

In this week's highest scoring matchup, coach Brandon led the way with really solid performances from his WRs (geting 50 points between his two starters) and then the Jaguars D/ST did the rest by having 2 TDs and 5 INTs against Pittsburg. This win evens things up in the front again with a 4 way tie between Anna, Kristin and Brandon and Patrick for 1st place.

Fun Fact: The Jaguars defense had more receptions in the second half than their offense
The Ministry of Silly Walks lost their first game of the season, but coach Kristin's squad still played very well. She probably would have liked more than 2 pts from Mercedes Lewis, but everyone else had a respectable showing.

Coach Kristin will be back in it after this light cat-nap

Commissioner Goodell vs Green Bay Mermen

FINAL SCORE: 134.0 - 94.7

WINNER: Commissioner Goodell

Star Players:
Leonard Fournette, Jax RB (GOOD): 31.4 pts from 184 yds; 2 TD; 28 RUNS
Alex Smith, KC QB (GOOD): 26.9 pts from 324 yds passing; 3 TD; 0 INT
Devin Funchess, Car FLEX (GOOD): 18.3 pts from 53 yds; 1 TD; 7/8 REC

Underachievers:
Stefon Diggs, Min WR (RISH): 1.4 pts (-13.5 projected) from 4 yds; 0 TD; 1/4 REC
Todd Gurley, LAR RB (RISH): 5.0 pts (-12.8 projected) from 50 yds; 0 TD; 14 RUNS
Sammy Watkins, LAR WR (GOOD): 0.0 pts (-11.2 projected) from 0 yds; 0 TD; 0/4 REC

Commissioner Goodell had his best game of the season despite getting 0 points from Sammy Watkins. Jacksonville's Fournette and Kansas City's Smith both had great weeks at the same time which is what coach Skyler is hoping to see more of.

I wouldn't complain if my best players decided to have good weeks at the same time more often

The Green Bay Mermen also lost their first game of the season. However, thanks to coach Brandon's great week she remains tied in first place with the Ministry of Silly Walks. This week she wasn't helped by having 3 of her players on bye and Todd Gurley's first bad game of the season against the Seahawks.

Can't complain too much while still in first place

Zeke-a Virus vs Redmond SkiFrees

FINAL SCORE: 126.9 - 105.2

WINNER: Zeke-a Virus

Star Players:
Deshaun Watson, Hou QB (ZEKE): 35.5 pts from 261 yds passing; 5 TD; 0 INT
Melvin Gordon, LAC RB (Red): 34.3 pts from 163 yds; 2 TD; 20 RUNS
Antonio Brown, Pit WR (ZEKE): 25.7 pts from 157 yds; 0 TD; 10/19 REC

Underachievers:
DeShone Kizer, Cle QB (Red): 2.4 pts (-12.9 projected) from 87 yds passing; 0 TD; 1 INT
Ezekiel Elliott, Dal RB (ZEKE): 14.2 pts (-7.3 projected) from 132 yds; 0 TD; 29 RUNS
Doug Baldwin, Sea WR (Red): 7.7 pts (-6.3 projected) from 37 yds; 0 TD; 4/8 REC

Coach Nick was kept his lead in a close matchup this week. And even though Houston and Pittsburg ended up losing their games, their performances helped push Zeke-a Virus over the SkiFrees this week.

TBH I think his players would have rather won their actual games, but they were helpful for Nick

Coach Brandon continues his tradition of losing close games. This week he learned the hard way about backing a rookie QB. Cleveland's Kizer recorded one of the worst QB scores of the season.

Sometimes even a good bet can go sour

Team FENELON vs Seattle Handegg Squad

FINAL SCORE: 119.3 - 58.3

WINNER: Team FENELON

Star Players:
Dak Prescott, Dal QB (FENE): 29.7 pts from 251 yds passing; 4 TD; 1 INT
Aaron Rodgers, GB QB (EGG): 24.0 pts from 221 yds passing; 3 TD; 0 INT
Odell Beckham Jr., NYG WR (FENE): 21.5 pts from 105 yds; 1 TD; 5/8 REC

Underachievers:
Carlos Hyde, SF RB (FENE): 2.8 pts (-13.6 projected) from 18 yds; 0 TD; 8 RUNS
Amari Cooper, Oak WR (EGG): 1.8 pts (-9.2 projected) from 8 yds; 0 TD; 1/2 REC
Mike Evans, TB FLEX (FENE): 9.9 pts (-8.3 projected) from 49 yds; 0 TD; 5/8 REC

Coach Patrick's win this week was dampened a bit by the loss of Odell Beckham Jr. to an ankle injury at the end of the game against the Chargers. Luckily he has some good depth on his bench that should be able to take over next week.

Next man up on Team FENELON

Coach Andre played half a team this week; 4 players did not get a single point. He will need to find someone to trade him an RB for his extra QBs so he can field a full team next week.

HandEgg Squad players making excuses about "BYE weeks"

Taco Tuesdays vs The Bad At Footballs

FINAL SCORE: 90.2 - 84.4

WINNER: Taco Tuesdays

Star Players:
Davante Adams, GB WR (TACO): 25.6 pts from 66 yds; 2 TD; 7/11 REC
Le'Veon Bell, Pit RB (BAD): 19.3 pts from 93 yds; 0 TD; 15 RUNS
Jameis Winston, TB QB (TACO): 18.5 pts from 334 yds passing; 1 TD; 0 INT

Underachievers:
Eric Ebron, Det TE (TACO): 1.6 pts (-6.5 projected) from 6 yds; 0 TD; 1/4 REC
Jared Cook, Oak TE (BAD): 3.5 pts (-5.8 projected) from 25 yds; 0 TD; 3/6 REC
Rishard Matthews, Ten FLEX (TACO): 6.1 pts (-5.3 projected) from 31 yds; 0 TD; 3/6 REC

Taco Tuesday pulled out a win this week despite having 5 players on a bye week. Every single player on coach Shane's bench was either on BYE or injured.

'this close' to not having a full team

Coach Derek had good performances by Le'Veon Bell and DeSean Jackson. Also, he had the highest scoring kicker in the league this week! Hopefully next week Derek Carr will be back from his injury to help out.

2017 - Week 4

Happy week 4 everyone! October is officially here and those fall hues outside mean it's time for some fantasy football results!

This football man is excited for some results!

 Here are the league summaries:

League All-Star Players

Todd Gurley, LAR RB (RISH): 34.5 pts (+18.2 over projected)
Lamar Miller, Hou RB (FENE): 29.1 pts (+16.6 over projected)
Le'Veon Bell, Pit RB (BAD): 34.6 pts (+13.6 over projected)

It was the week of over-performing running backs. Coach Anna, Patrick and Derek all had amazing performances by their RBs.

League Bust Players

Ty Montgomery, GB RB (MoSW): 2.8 pts (-15.2 under projected)
Demaryius Thomas, Den WR (EGG): 2.1 pts (-12.7 under projected)
Antonio Brown, Pit WR (ZEKE): 7.4 pts (-12.1 under projected)

On the other end of the spectrum, we had some under-performing WRs and Ty Montgomery who broke a few ribs before going out of his game.

Best of the Bench

Cam Newton, Car Bench (EGG): 33.0 pts (+17.3 over projected)

The Bench All-Star team was filled with QBs this week. Coach Andre had the highest over-performing one as Cam Newton took down New England this week.

Green Bay Mermen vs Sports and Such

FINAL SCORE: 157.0 - 97.3

WINNER: Green Bay Mermen

Star Players:
Todd Gurley, LAR RB (RISH): 34.5 pts from 215 yds; 1 TD; 23 RUNS
DeAndre Hopkins, Hou WR (SUCH): 26.7 pts from 107 yds; 1 TD; 10/12 REC
Travis Kelce, KC TE (RISH): 24.4 pts from 114 yds; 1 TD; 7/8 REC

Underachievers:
Titans D/ST, D/ST (RISH): -4.0 pts (-12.0 projected) from 51 PA; 1 INT; 2 SCK;
Marshawn Lynch, Oak RB (SUCH): 1.2 pts (-11.0 projected) from 12 yds; 0 TD; 9 RUNS
Emmanuel Sanders, Den FLEX (SUCH): 6.7 pts (-7.8 projected) from 27 yds; 0 TD; 4/5 REC

Coach Anna sets the new league high score! Besides the horrendous Titans defense (which scored -4 points) her next lowest scorer was LeSean McCoy with a not too shady 13 pts. Hau$chka put up 15 kicking and Gurley is on a roll with 34 pts. Anna looks unstoppable!

Coach Anna: Undefeated. League High Score.

Both Sports and Such and the Mermen were undefeated going into this matchup; somebody had to fall to 3-1. Coach Brandon was let down by Marshawn Lynch playing in Denver this week. But even a record-breaking performance couldn't have caught up to the Mermen this week.

No shame in losing this week

Team FENELON vs Redmond SkiFrees

FINAL SCORE: 139.8 - 78.5

WINNER: Team FENELON

Star Players:
Lamar Miller, Hou RB (FENE): 29.1 pts from 131 yds; 2 TD; 19 RUNS
Dak Prescott, Dal QB (FENE): 22.6 pts from 252 yds passing; 3 TD; 1 INT
Keenan Allen, LAC WR (FENE): 18.8 pts from 138 yds; 0 TD; 5/11 REC

Underachievers:
Melvin Gordon, LAC RB (Red): 3.9 pts (-11.0 projected) from 29 yds; 0 TD; 10 RUNS
Matt Ryan, Atl QB (Red): 8.5 pts (-10.9 projected) from 242 yds passing; 1 TD; 2 INT
Jordan Reed, Wsh TE (FENE): 5.1 pts (-8.6 projected) from 21 yds; 0 TD; 3/5 REC

Coach Patrick had an all around solid performance! No real underperformers, very near to the league high score. He should feel good about his current team.

Coach Patrick is continuing his streak from last season

Coach Brandon was affected by the 'no superstar' disease this week. All of his players underperformed about the same amount. Before this week he was averaging above average in the league, so I expect his players to do better next week.

Coach Brandon trying to motivate his players this week

Ministry of Silly Walks vs Taco Tuesdays

FINAL SCORE: 118.3 - 104.3

WINNER: Ministry of Silly Walks

Star Players:
Jordy Nelson, GB WR (MoSW): 23.5 pts from 75 yds; 2 TD; 4/7 REC
Seahawks D/ST, D/ST (MoSW): 22.0 pts from 16 PA; 2 TD; 1 INT; 1 FR; 3 SCK;
Philip Rivers, LAC QB (MoSW): 19.9 pts from 347 yds passing; 2 TD; 0 INT

Underachievers:
Ty Montgomery, GB RB (MoSW): 2.8 pts (-15.2 projected) from 28 yds; 0 TD; 5 RUNS
DeMarco Murray, Ten FLEX (TACO): 5.5 pts (-6.4 projected) from 35 yds; 0 TD; 2/2 REC
Mark Ingram, NO RB (TACO): 10.2 pts (-5.5 projected) from 62 yds; 0 TD; 14 RUNS

The Ministry of Silly Walks is one of only two undefeated teams left in the league. Kareem Hunt, Jordy Nelson and the Seahawks Defense all stepped up for her this week to push her past Taco Tuesday.

Kareem Hunt is the man!

Coach Shane's squad played well this week. Davante Adams' injury was unfortunate and he could have used a few breakout plays by Mark Ingram, but all signs indicate he should play well next week.

You can't keep Tacos down for long

Zeke-a Virus vs The Bad At Footballs

FINAL SCORE: 103.5 - 80.5

WINNER: Zeke-a Virus

Star Players:
Le'Veon Bell, Pit RB (BAD): 34.6 pts from 186 yds; 2 TD; 35 RUNS
Ezekiel Elliott, Dal RB (ZEKE): 29.9 pts from 139 yds; 2 TD; 21 RUNS
Stephen Gostkowski, NE K (BAD): 15.0 pts from 3/3 field goals; 3/3 XP

Underachievers:
Antonio Brown, Pit WR (ZEKE): 7.4 pts (-12.1 projected) from 34 yds; 0 TD; 4/9 REC
Theo Riddick, Det RB (BAD): 2.2 pts (-9.6 projected) from 12 yds; 0 TD; 4 RUNS
DeSean Jackson, TB FLEX (BAD): 4.0 pts (-8.1 projected) from 20 yds; 0 TD; 2/6 REC

Coach Nick finally got some ROI from his titular Zeke- rushing for 30 points agains the Rams. It covered up some of his underperforming teammates, but you can't argue with this solid win.

I found him! The classic game of 'Where's Zeke?'

The Bad at Footballs have generally been doing better week-to-week. Coach Derek has made a few adjustments but there's nothing he can do about Theo Riddick and Eric Decker's bad week.

Eventually all of Coach Derek's adjustment will pay off

Commissioner Goodell vs Seattle Handegg Squad

FINAL SCORE: 97.5 - 56.2

WINNER: Commissioner Goodell

Star Players:
Leonard Fournette, Jax RB (GOOD): 24.5 pts from 145 yds; 1 TD; 24 RUNS
Aaron Rodgers, GB QB (EGG): 23.1 pts from 179 yds passing; 4 TD; 0 INT
Marcus Mariota, Ten QB (GOOD): 15.7 pts from 96 yds passing; 2 TD; 2 INT

Underachievers:
Demaryius Thomas, Den WR (EGG): 2.1 pts (-12.7 projected) from 11 yds; 0 TD; 1/5 REC
Julio Jones, Atl WR (GOOD): 6.0 pts (-12.0 projected) from 30 yds; 0 TD; 3/4 REC
Amari Cooper, Oak WR (EGG): 2.9 pts (-9.5 projected) from 9 yds; 0 TD; 2/8 REC

Coach Skyler finally marked up his first win of the season! Jacksonville's new star runningback lead the charge giving him 25 points.

Coach Skyler's 'first win' dance

The Seattle Handegg Squad is struggling in all other departments besides QB. Coach Andre's 2 RBs and 2 WRs totalled 10 points between all four of them.

This is fine

----- Coming up next week -------

Week 5

Commissioner Goodell (1-3) vs Green Bay Mermen (4-0)
Ministry of Silly Walks (4-0) vs Sports and Such (3-1)
Seattle Handegg Squad (0-4) vs Team FENELON (3-1)
Zeke-a Virus (2-2) vs Redmond SkiFrees (2-2)
Taco Tuesdays (1-3) vs The Bad At Footballs (0-4)
