Playoffs: Part 1

We are one game away from crowning the inaugural Blitz of Apathy champion.

During the playoffs each team has two weeks to win their match, but this week the winning teams only needed one week to get enough of a lead to carry them through their matchups. Here are the results:

Number one seed Fits of Fantasy are on a roll and continue the same sort of balanced scoring that won for them during the regular season.

Team Tight Endz was eliminated from the playoff bracket this week after 11 of her players scored 3 points or fewer (across both weeks). LeSean McCoy and Justin Tucker tried to salvage the game for Coach Anna, but they couldn't carry up the rest of the team.

Vikings D/ST (PUPR): -4 pts. The defense had zero takeaways, sacks, safeties or blocked kicks.

Commissioner Goodell won 22% thanks to Le'Veon Bell's one game where he got 47 points. Thanks Le'Veon Bell.

Team Pup 'n Suds was held back by a few negative point performances and lackluster running backs on both weeks. Perhaps Le'Veon's sapped the power out of the rest of the universe for his performance.

Russell Wilson, Sea QB (VOGE): 4 pts. 240 yds. w/ 1 TD and 5 INTs. It was not fun to watch.

Team Vogel's rock solid team is doing great. Coach Jenny doesn't have to change a thing with her team as they continue to rack up one of the highest scores in the league while remaining healthy.

The Ministry of Silly Walks had a particularly tough time in the first half of the playoffs game when most of her team was stuck below 5 points, including Big Ben.

The Space Cowboys struggled mightily with running backs and injuries. There isn't much you can do when your star running back goes down in the start of the game and the Seahawks Defense leave you hanging.

The Space Cowboys put on a great performance against the #1 seed in the league while the Fits of Fantasy had a fit of apathy to end with this weeks low score.

Coach Brandon won it despite sitting one of the best players of the week, Thomas Rawls. He didn't end up needing the points, but I'm sure he's kicking himself after he watched Wreck-it-Rawls run all over Carolina Sunday night.

Coach Andre's squad was solid this week with everyone but his TE and Matt Forte getting at least 10 points. Tom Brady only made 14 points, but with some new faces like Jordan Howard getting 29 points, Pup 'n Suds look ready for the playoffs.

Coach Kristin's team was let down in the Carolina department, but besides that the Ministry of Silly Walks played very well. They will be the top seed for the Consolation Bracket that starts next week.

Team Tight Endz finished the regular season off with a strong three game winning streak which should give them some nice momentum into the playoffs. That's not even mentioning that Team Tight Endz' tight end was the top TE in the league this week. That bodes well for coach Anna.

Team Vogel was let down by their WR2 and FLEX this week. But it looks like the strategy of leaving players in should work pretty well through the playoffs since they have a strong lineup without touching a thing.

Coach Skyler and Coach Andre put up huge numbers with just a few of their players this week. The rest of their players stayed under 10 points. Commissioner Goodell just managed to squeeze out the win thanks to Jordy Nelson on Monday Night.

Coach Andre just needed a couple more points from any of his FLEX players to get the win this week. But besides Odell Beckham Jr, no one could step up.

The Space Cowboys had a solid week, but their score was held back in the QB category as Blake Bortles deals with a shoulder injury. Also Seattle RB C.J. Prosise was taken out of the game after a strong first half due to a shoulder injury. If coach Brandon's players can stay healthy he will have a better week 12.

Coach Andre tacked on another W to his winning streak thanks mostly to his 3 start players of the week. As long as Dez and Tom keep playing like this, he should have an easy ride into the playoffs.

Coach Kristin managed to give the Fits of Fantasy their second loss of the season with the help of the Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown duo. Even with Jimmy Graham missing out on touchdown passes, she managed to break 100 points.

Coach Patrick had a balanced team that played well this week, but just barely fell short of the Ministry of Silly Walks. Although there were no obvious weaknesses on his team, both Todd Gurley and Mike Evans had worse than usual weeks managing to get only 6 points each.

Commissioner Goodell tied his own record high score this week thanks to a team effort. All players except his tight end got 10 or more points adding up to an impressive score.

Coach Brandon had some incredible struggles this week with 6 of his players stuck below 10 points and Matt Ryan struggling against the Eagles. Added on that Gronk is out next week with a punctured lung, the Space Cowboys problems keep piling up.

There were basically no under-achieving players on his entire team and impressive play from Matt Ryan and Melvin Gordon really put him over the top.

Coach Brandon the Dr0idz ended up with no real underachiever on his team either. The problem is he lacked power performances from anyone beyond Aaron Rodgers.

Coach Kristin had amazing performers on both sides of Monday night's game in Seattle. Jimmy Graham and Tyrod Taylor had stunning evenings.

Coach Anna had a difficult time accumulating points in the QB and FLEX positions, she didn't have anyone picking up the slack. Also, Dennis Pitta was a let down once again! Where is Jimmy Graham when you need him? (on Kristin's team, sorry!)

Coach Skyler almost managed to get a second victory against the unstoppable Fantasyland, but alas his tight end and Denver D couldn't quite keep up with coach Patrick's impressive turnout.

Unfortunately for the commissioner, his star player ended up playing against his defense. Murray ended up getting 30 points at the cost of a 0 point defense.

Fantasyland won their 8th game, just about locking up his spot in the playoffs in just a handful of weeks.
