Week 10

There are only 3 weeks left in the Blitz of Apathy fantasy football league before the playoffs. This week had surprise upsets and some very close high scoring games. Let's take a look!

Fantasyland Fits of Fantasy vs. Ministry of Silly Walks

Star Players:
Ben Roethlisberger, Pit QB (MoSW): 28 pts. 408 yds w/ 3TDs but he still lost to Dallas.
DeMarco Murray, Ten RB (FoF): 25 pts. 123 yds w/ 1 TD.
Antonio Brown, Pit WR (MoSW): 21 pts. 154 yds w/ 1 TD despite his -10 yards rushing.
Dan Bailey, Dal K (FoF): 14 pts. A perfect night for the Dallas kicker.

Underachievers:
Jonathan Stewart, Car RB (MoSW): 3 pts. 39 yds.
DeAndre Hopkins, Hou WR (FoF) 4 pts. 48 yds and 8 dropped passes.

Coach Kristin managed to give the Fits of Fantasy their second loss of the season with the help of the Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown duo. Even with Jimmy Graham missing out on touchdown passes, she managed to break 100 points.

I think coach Kristin was pleasantly surprised by her team this week

Coach Patrick had a balanced team that played well this week, but just barely fell short of the Ministry of Silly Walks. Although there were no obvious weaknesses on his team, both Todd Gurley and Mike Evans had worse than usual weeks managing to get only 6 points each.

I mean... it's not good but it's not bad. Better luck next week.

Aaron Rodgers, GB QB (DRDZ): 26 pts. 371 yds w/ 2 TD passes and 2 INTs.
Russell Wilson, Sea QB (VOGE): 25 pts. 348 yds. w/ 3 TD passes.
LeGarrette Blout, NE RB (DRDZ): 24 pts. 69 yds. w/ 3 TDs.
Doug Baldwin, Sea WR (DRDZ): 23 pts. 59 yds. w/ 3 TDs.

Underachievers:
Matt Prater, Det K (VOGE): BYE week
T.Y. Hilton, Ind WR (VOGE): BYE week
Brandon Marshall, NYJ WR (DRDZ): 1 pt. despite 6 passes thrown at him.
Blair Walsh, Min K (DRDZ): 2 pts. and missed extra points.

The league record probably should have been broken during this game. There were just so many incredible players on both sides of this game.

But then both teams were held back by just a few players. In Coach Brandon's case he had both WRs fail to get more than 5 points combined and then in Coach Jenny's case she had two players who weren't even playing.

Le'Veon Bell, Pit RB (GOOD): 24 pts. 57 yds w/ 1TD on the ground 77 yds. w/ 1 TD receiving.
Allen Robinson, Jax WR (BUTT): 18 pts. 107 yds w/ 1 TD.
Ravens D/ST (BUTT): 16 pts. 2 INTs. 1 FR. 4 big sacks.

Underachievers:
Dennis Pitta, Bal TE (BUTT): 2 pts. from 6 receptions.
Giovani Bernard, Cin RB (BUTT): 2 pts. despite 12 targets and rushes.

Commissioner Goodell tied his own record high score this week thanks to a team effort. All players except his tight end got 10 or more points adding up to an impressive score.

Not bad

Team Tight Endz didn't get much help from her RBs or FLEX this week, keeping her under 90 points. Oh, also her TE underperformed again.

Team Pup 'n Suds

Underachievers:
Ty Montgomery, GB WR/RB (S.Co): 1pt. from 3 rushes and 2 receptions.
Vikings D/ST (PUPR): 2 pts.
Chargers D/ST (S.Co): 2 pts.
Tom Brady, NE QB (PUPR): 10 pts. is a season low for Brady thanks to 0 TD and 1 INT.
Matt Ryan, Atl QB (S.Co): 12 pts. is a season low for Ryan.

Both QBs underperformed this week for coach Brandon and coach Andre. Pup 'n Suds managed to pull off the win in the end though mostly thanks to Dez & Odell.

Coach Andre finally can start thanking Dez

Coach Brandon had some incredible struggles this week with 6 of his players stuck below 10 points and Matt Ryan struggling against the Eagles. Added on that Gronk is out next week with a punctured lung, the Space Cowboys problems keep piling up.

Bad luck can always change... but sometimes it's just too late
